Tranquil and quiet surrounding area Good rooms Good size of the room Good beds Friendly personal Perfect breakfast buffet Complementary slippers Felt very safe, although being on the outskirts of Prague. The biggest minus is the hill you have to climb up and down when staying here. You'll need a good walking/hiking condition, and especially if you want to walk the park Petrin next to the Hotel too. Walking to the old town is about 30 to 35 minutes. You can get to the hotel entrance either via a stair next to Café Melvin on Pohořelec or via the main entrance to the courtyard on the corner of Pohořelec and Strahovské nádvoří. We had room 21. First one on the right on the first floor. Only accessible by stairs. There are 2 rooms downstairs which are accessible with a special lift for handicapped We had a view over Prague from 2 windows. From the side window in the bedroom, a view over the clock towers of the Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary which is in the courtyard of the monastery. The bells didn't bother us at all. The library of the monastery is on the premises and definitely worth while. Very, very good breakfast buffet. Friendly and helpful personal. The people at the front desk speak very well English. Probably because we had something to celebrate and our flights where changed to a day later, they gave us an upgrade. Which we highly appreciated. Room 21 is divided into 3 spaces. A bathroom with bath, a bedroom and a small living room. Nr 20 is right next to 21 and both can be closed of by an extra entrance door. Don't know if there were other guests/neighbors, but we didn't hear anybody. Beds are good. Pillows too soft. Enough blankets/duvets. Sheets and towels are replaced every 2 or 3 days. Bathroom and wastebaskets cleaned daily. Vacuuming is not done during our stay of 6 nights. Small refrigerator. Nespresso coffee/tea. Every day refill for coffee and tea.

Lovely small quiet hotel, within the monastery grounds, positioned on top of a hill with stunning views of Prague. The staff were friendly, welcoming, very helpful, and always greeted us with a smile. We had an exceptionally clean large first floor room with all the amenities we needed and superb views of the city. Huge double bed and sofa with separate toilet and shower rooms. Buffet Breakfast included delicious options to cater for everyone's tastes. We didn't realise it was on top of a steep hill, if you are coming by foot from the city centre, we would recommend getting the no: 22 tram from Malostranska to Pohorelec 🙂 We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will rebook again.

Loved the location . Maybe a sign outside the complex saying hotel would be good. Really nice being up high with the views, enjoyed the bells and being able to walk down to the bridge through the vineyards and to the tower. Breakfasts were the best, so tasty and good variety and yummy pasteries! Nice room with a big window and a view and a bath!! All the staff were brilliant. Stephen very helpful and informative for the first few days with holding our bags and directions and then the weekend lady also friendly at checkout. The breakfast lady made sure we had enough to eat! We had one supper sitting in the garden by the path which was great.

Absolute gem. Very beautiful location. Lots of character as the actual hotel building is one of the old monastery buildings probably 1000 years old. . This place is amazing to experience the sense of the place, truly magical. The breakfast was super tasty, lots of choices and being able to enjoy it in the garden , with magic views over the old Praha just few meters away. The staff was very helpful. And you can start your sightseeing in the monastery in the morning with a short walk to the magnificent Prague castle, Loreta and Hradcany., Petrinska look out tower and and on and on...

Perfect place in an ancient monastery. Outstanding feeling. The room was big and comfortable with free tea and coffee. The staff is the best I encountered. Very nice and helpful. There was also a minibar (that we didn’t use). It might come handy if you have a crave for something. There are restaurants a few steps from the hotel front entrance. There is also a brewery next to the hotel. The breakfast provides everything you need. All the ingredients are fresh and not reused! We enjoyed it very much!!! If we come to Prague again we will absolutely come to this hotel.
